Our Story
Over 110 years of faithful service to God and community
A Heritage of Faith
Woodrow Gospel Chapel has been a spiritual cornerstone in the Woodrow and Lafleche area since 1910. With a heritage spanning over a century, our chapel is dedicated to Christian worship, biblical teaching, and community outreach.
The congregation meets regularly for worship services, prayer, and fellowship, fostering a supportive environment for spiritual growth and continuing its long-standing tradition of faithfulness to the Gospel message. Throughout the decades, various ministers have led gatherings, and community involvement has remained integral to our work, responding to the needs of the Lafleche area.

Our Journey Through Time
1910 - Foundation
Woodrow Gospel Chapel was established in 1910, during a time of settlement and growth in rural Saskatchewan. Pioneer families came together to create a place of worship and community support, laying the foundation for what would become a lasting spiritual home.
1950s-1960s - Growth & Development
During the post-war era, the chapel experienced significant growth as families in the area sought spiritual guidance and community connection. Regular worship services, Sunday school programs, and community events became central to life in Lafleche.
1980s-1990s - Strengthening Ties
The chapel strengthened its affiliation with the Saskatchewan Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, deepening its commitment to Mennonite Brethren traditions while maintaining its unique character as a rural Gospel chapel.
2000s-Present - Continuing the Legacy
Today, Woodrow Gospel Chapel continues to serve the Lafleche community with the same dedication that characterized its founding. While embracing modern ministry approaches, we remain rooted in biblical truth and committed to serving our neighbors with Christ's love.
Our Beliefs & Values
Rooted in Scripture and the Mennonite Brethren tradition
Biblical Authority
We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and our ultimate authority for faith and practice. Our teaching is grounded in Scripture, emphasizing both personal study and corporate understanding.
Gospel Message
We proclaim the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Through His death and resurrection, we have forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life.
Community & Fellowship
We believe in the importance of Christian community, where believers support, encourage, and hold one another accountable in love as we grow together in faith.
Service & Outreach
Following Christ's example, we are committed to serving others and sharing God's love through practical acts of compassion and community outreach.
Peace & Reconciliation
In the Mennonite Brethren tradition, we emphasize peacemaking, reconciliation, and living out Christ's teachings of love for all people, including our enemies.
Discipleship
We are committed to making disciples who follow Jesus wholeheartedly, growing in faith, knowledge, and obedience to God's Word throughout their lives.
